Join our team of dedicated, energetic and caring early childhood professionals in a creative, supportive environment. Must be EEC Preschool certified with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:30am-6:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm. Experience with NAEYC criteria is a plus. Program uses TeachingStrategiesGOLD.com & provides opportunities for professional development.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.
  • Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
  • Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate. Follows all procedures and standards.
  • Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
  • Cultivates positive relationships, conducts parent conferences and maintains effective communication with parents. Engages parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA.
  • Maintains program site and equipment.
  • Maintains required program records.
  • Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must be EEC Preschool certified with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience with NAEYC criteria is a plus. Program uses Teaching Strategies GOLD
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $14.00 - $17.00
