The MetroWest YMCA marketing department is a fast-paced work environment and we seek a talented individual who craves learning new skills and is not afraid to tackle big projects. As the Marketing Associate, you will work with a variety of our staff, on marketing and advertising projects that will help us tell our story and grow our presence in the MetroWest community.

Someone who understands marketing, advertising and social media and is creative and thoughtful when interacting in person and in online communities while growing brand awareness as a leading community non-profit dedicated to strengthening the foundations of our community.
- Assist in managing and executing the yearly marketing plan and social media calendar.
- Create compelling content including videos, graphics and short stories that can be shared across multiple social media platform.
- Bring the Y brand vision to life through creative, innovative campaigns that drive revenue and build awareness
- Assist in the graphic design of print and digital marketing collateral for the whole association, including booklets, brochures, posters, flyers,
- Assist, update and refresh Website, online presence and local community calendar.
- Create weekly emails promoting YMCA programs, classes and special events.
- Acting as a liason between the Branch program directors and the Marketing Department.
- Participate, attend and promote YMCA special events, community fairs, and health and wellness related events.
- Takes part in and solicits others to participate in the YMCA’s Annual Campaign and associated fundraising activities
- Is responsible for participating and assisting in planning of community outreach and family events.
- Engages in collaborative relationships with community organizations in order to strengthen support and build community.

Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned in projects which relate to our areas of Focus which include, Youth Development, Healthy Living & Social Responsibility (fund development projects, healthy living projects, special events, food drives, summer camps, community fairs, photo shoots, etc)
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, volunteers, community leaders and our Metrowest community of all ages, youth -> teens -> young adults -> adults -> older adults
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Publisher, Excel & Power Point
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design and other web based editing softwares / content management system
- Knowledge and experience with Content Management Systems (CMS – websites, forms, printing agencies) and HTML web coding
- Familiarity with social networking sites
- Interest in story-telling via short blogs and video
- Interest in non-profit management and community development
- Demonstrated self-starter, maturity, punctuality and follow-through
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignment
- Creative and Flexible
- Physical demands must be able to lift 30-50lbs. Must be able to do repetitive motions, must be able to sit in a chair and stand on feet for long periods. Must be able to be exposed to outdoor environments and weather.
- Experience preferred as a graphic designer, marketing assistant, media or in related field and experience preferred in a customer service, business office or related setting
- A portfolio that demonstrates evidence of design abilities, in print and digital.
Salary: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00
