Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Senior Program Director will oversee the hiring and development of staff, implementation of programs, monitoring of finances and daily operations of several departments to include; Aquatics, Camp, Sports, Teens and Dance and Gymnastics. The Senior Program Director acts as a liaison to committee(s) and the branch board as directed and plays an active leadership role in the Association's Reach Out for Youth and Families Campaign
Areas of Responsibility:
- Coordinate specific departments with member services to provide excellent member experience and member retention through high quality programs, promotions and services.
- Hires, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Facilitates communication and provides leadership. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.
- Develops budgets and oversees program design and innovation to drive revenue
- Oversee and drive the association and department specific strategic plan
- Provides leadership and support to leading and achieving annual fund raising goals, volunteer recruitment and sitting on committee/ boards as assigned.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the community.
Educational Background:
Bachelors Degree in related field
Skills/Experience:
- 4 or more years of general program and day camp management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
- Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising.
- We are seeking a motivated and creative person to develop innovative new programs and drive toward revenue goals
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $56,000.00 - $62,000.00
