The Invensys Foxboro Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking a leader to help supervise and lead the daily operations.

Under the direction of the Branch Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director conducts and administers facility functions of the branch and fulfills the role of the Branch Executive Director in the Executive’s absence.This position is primarily responsible for supervising the daily operations and organizational leadership for the Invensys Foxboro Branch YMCA for the successful achievement of association and branch strategic goals.

Oversees assigned areas of the branch, with a strong focus on programming and staff mentoring, providing supervision and leadership to all operations excluding childcare, before and after school care and facilities. Participates in volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in staff development, budget accountability, program development, community involvement, member-centered customer service, fundraising and retention as well as being a people-oriented individual with a focus on constantly improving the member experience and building connections within and outside of the branch. Candidate must possess the ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing, demanding environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • With the Branch Executive Director, leads the branch’s strategic activities to meet the goals of the Association’s 3-year strategic plan.
  • Leads member involvement and relationship building strategies to increase program participation, enrollment and volunteerism.
  • Provides and grows high quality, innovative programming which meets the needs of our members and the community.
  • Solicits gifts and directs the staff team during the annual Reach Out for Youth and Families campaign.
  • Direct staff liaison for the branch Board of Managers
  • Assists Program Directors and Coordinators in developing and controlling branch budgets and is responsible for attaining budget goals.
  • Provides training programs for new and current personnel and carries primary responsibility for all departmental staff development.
  • Interprets and communicates the objectives and programs of the branch to the community.
  • Coordinates strategies for member engagement and overall retention in tandem with the Membership, Program and Wellness Departments.
  • Acts as the Branch Executive Director in the Executive’s absence, especially with regard to approval of expenses, emergency decisions and issues which require immediate attention.
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor’s degree required in education, health sciences, community development, sports management or business.
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of YMCA management experience. Preferred experience managing multiple departments with a track record of successful management of YMCA programs, including but not limited to membership, wellness, aquatics and summer camp programming.
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of fundraising and volunteer development experience with specific experience in securing financial support.
  • Must have skills and ability in program development and delivery; human resources management, financial management, facility management and in coaching and leading staff, members and volunteers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and personal commitment to service and hospitality.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00
