The Ryan Family YMCA is looking for a cause-driven Membership and Wellness Coordinator to join the team.

The Ryan Family YMCA is looking for a new leader to join the team and support the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As the Membership and Wellness Coordinator you will assist in all aspects of membership and health and wellness for the branch including recruitment of new members and supervision of assigned staff. Additionally, developing plans and implementing new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for creating and fostering a strong atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation among staff.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire staff, subject to approval from the Membership and Wellness Director.
  • Maintain a constant focus on member service as a top priority of the branch, creating a member-focused culture.
  • May be responsible for monthly schedules and staff payroll.
  • Assist with promoting program awareness through publications, marketing materials and member promotions. Participate in facility and community events.
  • Organize membership events.
  • Assists with employee and member wellness activities.
  • Assists in maintenance of fitness equipment and weekly/monthly checklist report.
  • Build and foster relationships with the community.
  • Implement strategies that support recruitment and retention of members.
  • Meet monthly and annual membership sales goals.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in related field or 3 years of related experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to Two years of related experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • High energy, positive, "can do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and a high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful.
  • Experience with membership software Daxko Operations and excellent computer skills will also help this team member be successful.
  • This leader will need the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $12.00 - $15.00
