We are seeking a Marketing Manager who is a good storyteller. You will be responsible for identifying and creating the content for the Y’s online and in-branch marketing efforts.  The ideal candidate can collaborate across the marketing team and YMCA branches to deliver an effective holisitc marketing strategy to meet the operational objectives at the lowest possible cost and help ensure the Y delivers on our mission.  We will be counting on you to bring your creative expertise to the team and build relationships with key stakeholders to support a common vision and marketing plan.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for branch level and program (child care and camp) marketing.
  • Design and produce compelling content for your branch marketing efforts in accordance to Y USA brand guidelines.
  • Plan, execute (hands-on) and measure marketing strategies, including but not limited to social, mobile app, text, email and other tactics, using KPIs to ensure efforts against goals.
  • Attend, manage and make recommendations for branch participation in experiential and community outreach events while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders/vendors.
  • Brainstorm new ways to improve performance across all marketing channels. Source and test new opportunities.
  • Understand and stay current on industry trends and best practices in design and digital marketing as well as in the health and wellness space.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor degree in a related field strongly preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Three plus years marketing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization. 
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful.
  • Must have the ability to design and layout large format content marketing pieces, with visuals, content, images, original art, and infographics. 
  • Ability to work and handle ROI results pressure. Proven ability to drive tactical, downstream marketing activities. 
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills with ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Solid understanding of the following (or majority of the following): Facebooks Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Adwords. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products – advance skills in Excel. 
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in design, digital marketing and measurement. 
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish would be a plus.
