The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is an association deep with history and tradition. Founded in 1890, this large YMCA recently celebrated its 125 year anniversary. 2015 marked the beginning of our 5-year strategic plan with its long-term vision of preparing youth to succeed and serve by doubling the youth we serve. Our association staff and volunteers are entrepreneurial in spirit and management style allowing key staff and volunteers to set the direction of the association for the common good of all. This $25M organization with 15 branch/operating units and approximately 1200+ staff members seeks a District Executive to lead operations at the Northpark branch and supervise the Airport branch.
The District Executive will need to build strong, strategic relationships with current and prospective partners inside and outside the Y, including the City of Fort Worth. As the Y looks to grow and expand the membership base, building bridges within the community to ensure all segments of society have access to the Y will be important. This Executive will have a strong focus on organizing philanthropic activity, and continuing to build upon the success of a strong annual campaign and solid branch advisory board. This leader will be the face of the Y in the community, which requires guiding others on how to strengthen knowledge, skills, and competencies that improve organizational performance. Creating an environment of trust and respect by empowering others and sharing authority will be key to this leader’s success.
Under the direction of a Vice President of Operations, the District Executive will be responsible for the performance and positioning of the Northeast District. The two branch district has an operating budget of $3.3 M with the breakdown of revenue as follows: $1.34M-Programs, $1.85M-Membership, $151K-Contributions/Special Events. Northpark branch currently serve close to 70 children per day at a school age child care location, as well as 125 children per day in summer day camp. The Northeast District raised $134K in the 2017 Annual Support Campaign with solid volunteer leadership. The Northpark branch has 2,100 membership units serving more than 8,700 members and more than 5,000 program participants annually.
