The Central Branch YMCA has an immediate opening for a Youth & Family Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of local youth and teens. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop, implement, and promote dynamic quality new programs and expand current programs to support youth and family engagement. Continue program growth and retention in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of part-time Youth and Family,and Child Watch Staff.
  • Make connections with members and guests and assist with inquiries.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with community organizations.
  • Develop and monitor department budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Participate as an active member of the branch management team.
  • Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events where applicable.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience, education and training may be considered.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • Two to three years of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.
  • Previous experience building a team, running programs, and supervising others is preferred.
  • Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Compensation/Benefits:

Salary: $33,000.00 - $38,000.00
