The Parkview Family YMCA has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of local youth and teens. Asuccessful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Directly lead the Membership department and supervise and mentor two Program Directors depending on the skills and expertise of the incumbent.
  • Cultivate and direct quality relationship-based member engagement strategies.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and direct all assigned staff.
  • Foster meaningful connections for the members and guests to the YMCA and serve as a leader for the YMCA in improving member satisfaction.
  • Establish new activities and expand offerings to support membership growth and retention.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations.
  • Develop and monitor department budgets to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Demonstrate effective listening and compassion toward people in all interactions.
  • Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events where applicable.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • 4-5years of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience, education and training may be considered.
  • Previous experience building a team, running programs, and supervising others is preferred.
  • Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Compensation/Benefits:

Salary: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00
