The Parkview Family YMCA has an immediate opening for a Membership Director. Reporting to the Associate Executive Director, the ideal candidate will have noticeable experience providing excellent customer service and building community relationships including diverse populations. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and servant leader.
- Cultivate and direct quality relationship-based member engagement strategies.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of part-time Membership Staff.
- Foster meaningful connections for the members and guests to the YMCA and serve as a leader for the YMCA in improving member satisfaction.
- Establish new activities and expand offerings to support membership growth and retention.
- Expand and strengthen relationships with community organizations.
- Develop and monitor department budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Participate as an active member of the branch management team.
- Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events where applicable.
- Demonstrate effective listening and compassion toward people in all interactions with the purpose of delivering the mission of the YMCA.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Two to three years of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.
- Previous experience building a team and supervising others is preferred.
- Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
