This newly created position will help fulfill the mission of the Y by executing multi-channel digital campaigns using online, mobile, social, email, text, search, display and digital content development for the Marketing, Human Resources and Fund Development departments for our local organization.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure a positive online presence/experience for users interfacing with the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne, by assisting with the association social media plan, initiatives and cross-promotion across designated platforms.
- Support the YMCA’s web site maintenance; development of new sections/sites; work with Web developer to maintain, upgrade functionality, scope and design. Monitor Y micro sites, blogs, etc., and external partner web site features.
- Manage web based tools used for Human Resources, Marketing and Fund Development.
- Write, edit and proofread online content, or edit videos as needed to optimize the online environment ensuring 100% accuracy, consistency in style and tone.
- Support Y branches with digital marketing, online listings, SEO, and serve as a helpful resource for Y staff with online digital facets.
- Provide monthly reports on web analytics/usage, marketing and social media metrics/analytics; create and manage web-based surveys as requested.
- Assist with emergency communications for inclement weather as directed.
Educational Background:
Two years of related experience with social media, analytics, and trends including marketing tools, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or a combination of both)
Skills/Experience:
- Working knowledge of Google Best Practices, SEO, Adobe Photo Shop and InDesign.
- Previous experience with web content management, Drupal or capacity to learn.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Creative but detail oriented, resourceful, self-starter who can also work with a team to complete multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
