The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is looking for candidates with these traits to fill the Adaptive Services Program Director position.  This position is a vital component of extending the Y’s mission of “for all” by implementing creative programming that serves the adaptive population.   Through diligent work the Y will become known as a leader in within the field of adaptive services.  The incumbent will work directly with our branches to create new offerings and services to meet the needs of the community.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Create and implement diverse programs and activities to meet the needs of the adaptive community.
  • Champion adaptive initiatives throughout the Association and provide trainings to staff.
  • Oversee the Trail Buddies bike program and increase community awareness.
  • Implement regular evaluation of program goals and outcomes. 
  • Help establish a strategic vision for the future of the Y’s adaptive services programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staff, members, and community organizations to maximize program impact.
  • Model relationship-building skills in all interactions. 
  • Remain knowledgeable of current trends pertaining to adaptive services.
Skills/Experience:

Compensation/Benefits: 

$35,000.00 - $40,000.00
