We are looking for a sports-minded individual to coordinate, direct and grow youth, adult, and family sports and wellness programs in Dubois, Perry, and Spencer County. Work with the CEO, Program Director, Membership Director, staff and volunteers to assess program needs through the development of healthy relationships with community leaders. Enhance program and membership loyalty through the implementation of the Tri-County YMCA Character Development program while meeting community needs through safe and effective programs and services.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
  • Establishes new program activities and expands the program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, organize and schedule program registrations.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
  • Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
  • Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Responds to all program participants and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation inthe program.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree or experience in related field or equivalent preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Sports minded. Prior playing and or coaching experience
  • Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff, CPR, First Aid, & AED.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
