When you step through the doors of any YMCA in the Fargo-Moorhead area, you'll not only find a vibrant place where people are looking to improve themselves by getting active and having fun, you'll also find a workplace that's making a difference for the community in which they live.
Fargo's YMCA began in 1882. In 1903, our YMCA purchased 37 acres of land on the northwest shore of Big Cormorant Lake for the YMCA's Camp Cormorant, one of the earliest residence camps in the United States located by Lake Park, Minnesota. Now, 130+ years later the YMCA has to two branches: the Fercho YMCA and the Schlossman YMCA. The YMCA also has a partnership facility with Sanford Family Wellness. The Fargo YMCAs serve over 58,000 Members!
