The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is seeking an experienced school-age professional to lead the Child Care Branch. The branch includes sixteen before and after school child care sites, ten summer day camps and day camps for school breaks. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, strong team leader with excellent organizational, supervision and administrative skills.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manages, directs and coordinates the child care programs. Ensures high quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Develops, manages and control budgets related to the position. Ensures program operates within budget and that program fees are collected.
  • Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
  • Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in branch programs.
  • Represents and promotes the YMCA Child Care Branch in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops, maintains, and models collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
  • Oversees the hiring, training and supervision of Program Directors.
  • Directs branch marketing and communication efforts to effectively communicate benefit to the community.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degrees in related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Four or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA of other non-profit agency.
  • Ability to direct total operations through supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations and program development.
  • YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and articulate and enforce Y policies in a positive manner.
  • Is a self-starter and initiator with a passion for service and relationship-building.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00
