In alignment with the mission of the McGaw YMCA, Gift Officers work as front line fundraisers connecting donor support to McGaw YMCA’s mission and programs.
The Gift Officer Team Members will be responsible for an individual portfolio of 125-150 donors and the cultivation, solicitation, stewardship of their overall relationship with McGaw. In addition, each Gift Officer will participate in identification and qualification of prospects in conjunction with Advancement Committee and Board Members.
Gift Officers work as cohort of the development team responsible for a $3.1M collective contributed revenue goal – annual fund, endowment and special fundraising projects. Each Gift Officer will work closely with other members of the development and leadership team in this work.
Each gift officer is expected to use their rich development background and successful development experience to achieve annual fundraising goals. The gift team lead will provide tactical direction and oversight of the individual prospect portfolio management across front-line fundraisers including strategic support of CEO and CDMCO.
- Set individual financial goal and strategy for qualified portfolio of donors
- Execute strategy on a timely basis in conjunction with McGaw program and organizational events for retention and upgrades
- Work with program and communications colleagues to create proposals with relevant project, solicitation and recognition information to secure gifts
- Record donor communication/engagement for tracking and reporting purposes
- Participate in other donor centric and fundraising related activities, meetings, events as needed
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience working in a nonprofit setting or relevant other experience.
- Computer skills: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Database knowledge; RENXT preferred
Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00
