The Relief Night Auditor/Relief Guest Registration Manager provides relief coverage for two year round positions: As Night Auditor, responsibilities include auditing daily financial transactions, running software utilities, generating night audit reports, running computer file backups; as Guest Registration Manager, responsibilities include overseeing/supervising all facets of the Guest Registration Desk, the Back Office and the Switchboard as well as assisting in the training and coaching of staff in these areas. Preferably looking for applicants to start immediately.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • As Guest Registration Manager, must be able to work 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM
  • As Night Auditor, must be able to work alone and remain alert through the night, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, without supervision and use good initiative and decision-making skills regarding any problems that arise.
  • Be able to make quick decisions, use good judgment, and work well under pressure in the event of an emergency such as a fire, medical emergency, power outage, computer, phone or radio failures, an emergency requiring law enforcement, etc. Handle emergencies by notifying and coordinating the resources and services of YMCA of the Rockies, the town of Estes Park and Larimer County as appropriate for the situation.
  • Be able to resolve computer problems either independently or with the assistance of telephone support resources.
  • Be able to speak, write and read English proficiently.
  • Ability to supervise and effectively train and coach Guest Registration Desk Staff, Cashiers and Switchboard Operators.
  • Make reservations for walk-in guests, check-in conference delegates, individuals and families.
  • Ability to cover five Night Audit shifts per week for five to six weeks per year as needed.
  • Ability to cover Guest Registration Manager shifts as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests on the telephone and in-person.
  • Be able to evaluate and address guest problems/complaints by dispatching the appropriate YMCA resources, moving the guest to another accommodation, if appropriate, and by making appropriate adjustments to guest folios.
  • Follow the Night Auditor's Checklist, executing all tasks thoroughly and accurately.
  • Review and audit the daily financial transactions. Report inconsistencies or problems to the Assistant Center Controller.
  • Run tape backups on file servers to insure data security.
  • Assist in keeping offices clean by emptying trash cans, vacuuming and wiping down surfaces and equipment as needed.
  • Organize, inventory and order office supplies and copier/printer supplies.
  • Prepare weekly petty cash reimbursement request from vouchers in vault.
  • Perform weekly audits of all cash trays and cash boxes in the vault.
Educational Background: 
Minimum of two (2) years of college-level education or two (2) years of related experience required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Mature, emotionally stable, responsible with good initiative and commitment to detail and thoroughness.
  • Good computer keyboarding skills and the ability to use computer systems and software effectively and efficiently.
  • Understanding of and experience with general accounting concepts.
  • Ability to effectively operate a multi-line switchboard, business-band radio and paging system.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under stress while maintaining patience, tolerance and exceptional customer service. Maintain positive demeanor towards guests and staff.
  • Support for our International Staff programs and the ability to effectively train and coach International staff.
  • Be available to work weekend nights and holidays.

This is a full-time, year-round, position paying $18-19 per hour with full benefits, including:
