This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 150,000 guests annually. The Janitorial Crew Leader is primarily responsible for cleanliness and appearance of public spaces including but not limited to public bathrooms, lobbies, hallways and stairwells and entryways in all facilities. The Janitorial Crew Leader is also responsible for timely delivery of functional and clean guest amenities. Year-round; benefited. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supervises and Trains Janitorial crew members and ensures quality and standard of cleaning are met
  • Ensures all machinery, chemicals and vehicles are properly operated and maintained
  • Ensures safe practices and procedures are followed for chemicals, biohazards and machinery
  • AM and PM shifts required
  • Responds to carpet cleaning, biohazard clean up, public fixture repair and replacement, and water extraction needs that arise
  • Reports to Janitorial Manager on progress of projects and needs of the Janitorial department
Skills/Experience: 
  • One year of experience in the hospitality industry or facilities maintenance
  • Possess a valid, USA state-issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles. 
  • Possess stamina to work in the work environment described herein
  • Must be able to converse, read, write and type in English
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $14.50
