The Associate Director of Information Systems and Technology is responsible for maintaining the Association's information systems with an emphasis on hardware.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Other Functions / Requirements:

  • Train employees in consultation with the Information Systems and Technology Director.
  • A working knowledge Cambium Canopy, Ruckus and Meraki is desirable.
  • A working knowledge of server clustering and failover is desirable.
  • Experience with common business programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Recommend changes that could improve the professionalism and efficiency of IT resources.
  • Understand the flow and manipulation of data in order to generate the vital information needed for critical management decisions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience: 

Essential Functions / Requirements:

  • Three to five years' experience in maintaining Information Systems or industry certification with one year experience.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, set priorities, and work without supervision.
  • Able to communicate effectively with users of the Information Systems.
  • An unwavering ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder and work in tight spaces.
  • Maintain the computer hardware, Wi-Fi infrastructure and access to software and programs, including inventories.
  • Responsible for network installation and administration in consultation with the Technology Director.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement Association's software and hardware purchases.
  • Assist in extracting information from databases into end user-desired format.
  • Assist in maintaining the Association's Automated Attendant Telephony System, telephone infrastructure including POTS, Digital, Avaya phone switch and the related pedestals/wiring.
  • Understand and prioritize the needs of the organization in order to generate the vital information needed for critical management decisions.
  • Maintain an accurate, current, secure and useful Information System that meets the overall Association's goals.
  • Keep systems current and running at peak performance with minimal down time.
  • Supervise, train and work with the IT trainee(s) within the department.
  • Help oversee Information Systems and Technology operations at Estes Park Center and as needed at Snow Mountain Ranch.
  • Must be available on-call for after-hours IT emergencies and planned system upgrades.
  • Coordinate with the EPC Center Controller/IT on all Information Systems and Technology upgrades, software and hardware as necessary.
  • Ability to work in a Windows environment including Windows 7/10, Server 2008/2012, DFS, Active Directory and Exchange.
  • Must possess a valid, USA state issued driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
