This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the guidance of the Branch Executive Director, the Program Director at the Greater Valley YMCA, Easton/Phillipsburg Branch will oversee the development of programs, staff, finances, and daily operations of several program areas including Aquatics, Sports, and Youth & Family for our membership constituents as well as outside surrounding community members. The Program Director will evaluate and implement best practices, processes, and procedures for effective program and project management, and act as a liaison for the Branch on Greater Valley Y and the Branch Advisory Council committees.

- Ensures programs and services meet community needs through program evaluation and achieving “success measures” outlined in the Strategic Plan.
- Manages implementation of change by understanding and addressing the impact of change on cultures, systems, and people.
Collaboration
- Supervises existing program activities, establishes new high-quality member focused and innovative program activities, and expands programs within the community.
- Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.

- Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboards and develops them for success.
- Assist staff in identifying productive and creative volunteer roles.

Program/Project Management
- Manages the Program Department, including developing and monitoring the Program budget to meet fiscal objectives that are devoted to strategic objectives; compiling Program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in programs; securing and scheduling the needed facilities; and creating and scheduling the classes, activities, and events. Maintains proper records/department files.
- Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Ensures that program standards are achieved, and safety procedures are implemented.
Functional Expertise
- Provides staff leadership for special events and committees as assigned, e.g. Branch Council Program Committee.
- Assists in YMCA fundraising activities, including Annual Campaign and Mobile Cause initiatives.
- Serves as Manager on Duty as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Two to four years of related experience preferred.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Salary: $36,000.00 - $38,000.00
