The Regional VP of Operations plays an integral leadership role within YMCA of Bucks County, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Reporting into our Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Regional VP of Operations: Central and Upper Bucks Region oversee the total operation of our Quakertown and Warminster branch service areas, including membership, marketing, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies. Expected to sustain and grow operational revenue to surpass $5MM.
- Staff: Recruit, train, and consistently develop a staff team which exhibits a welcoming, positive, mature, and empathetic attitude; while displaying high knowledge of our cause-driven services.
- Environment: Establish a clean, safe, organized, welcoming environment that speaks to all members.
- Relationship Building: Through the use of Listen First, establish positive collaborations between staff to staff, staff to member, and ultimately member to member.
- Data: Continually compile and use survey results to close service area gaps throughout areas of responsibility.
Core Responsibilities for each of the branches:
- Develops, manages, and monitors branch operating budget; meets and/or exceeds budget targets.
- Develops and directs high-quality relationship-based member engagement strategies including, but not limited to, Living Our Cause, Listen First and Cause Driven Leader on Duty. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.
- Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals, and strategies.
- Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branch.
- Coordinates the development of the branch board and committees. Directs the volunteer activities (policy and program) of the branch.
- Directs the financial development activities of the branch.
- Represents and promotes the branch throughout the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops, maintains, and models collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Oversees the hiring, training, development and supervision of staff.
- Ensures the safety and maintenance of high-quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Directs branch marketing and communication efforts to effectively communicate the benefits to the community.
- Serves as a member of YMCA Bucks County, Senior Leadership Team and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA.
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing, and public relations, and program development.
- Possess proven ability to develop, project and sustain an operating budget of minimum $5MM.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
