Business Systems Analyst

We're looking for an awesome IT Business Systems Analyst to join our team. If you love tech and enjoy helping people solve problems, this might be the perfect fit for you. In this role, you'll work closely with our staff to figure out what solutions we need and make them happen smoothly. You'll be the linchpin ensuring everyone's tech needs are met from initiation through to implementation and ongoing support. Plus, you'll train users on our systems and keep everything running like a well-oiled machine. Your goal? Make our systems as efficient and user-friendly as possible while keeping everything documented to a T. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Team up with staff to really understand what they need and lead sessions to define processes and requirements.
  • Turn those business needs into actionable tech requirements using user stories, process flows, and data flows.
  • Interface across all organizational levels, demystifying tech jargon for non-tech folks.
  • Partner with the IT Service Delivery Manager to craft timelines, milestones, and project roadmaps.
  • Create and manage test scripts, execution plans, and remediation efforts for projects and enhancements.
  • Develop, curate, and update how-to guides and training materials.
  • Lead training sessions for new users and existing users on new features.
  • Provide advice and support to users about system inputs, processes, and outputs.
  • Ensure all systems are fully documented, including support info, process docs, and user guides.
  • Stay updated on the latest tech trends and figure out how they can improve our workflows, efficiency, teamwork, and customer service.
  • Jump in and help with other duties as needed.
Educational Background: 
A four-year degree from a college, university, or technical school.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in IT or service delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform, either as an Admin or Consultant. NPSP and Outbound Funds Module experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of web service concepts, data models, and data flow across systems.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, etc., and tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, etc.
  • Extensive experience with process mapping tools like LucidChart, Visio, or Miro.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other related software.
Compensation/Benefits: 

The targeted salary for those entering this role is $68,800 to 86,000.

The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan offers a robust benefits package including 20 days of vacation accrued monthly, 5 personal days, 13 holidays, 9 sick days accrued monthly, paid parental leave, hybrid work model, and employer paid short/long-term disability.

The Community Foundation also offers a pension retirement program after 1 year of service which contributes 10% of salary.
