The DACA Works Manager will have full responsibility for developing and executing DACA Works platform and services, including, but not limited to, DACA renewals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage the DACA Works platform and tech infrastructure (admin).
  • Deliver DACA renewal service virtually and in-person to families and clients in Colorado and across the nation.
  • Develop and execute local and national marketing strategies for DACA Works.
  • Communicate with families, clients, and partners.
  • Develop and execute pro-bono model for paralegals and attorneys.
  • The position will report directly to CEO.
  • Create data reports, tracking and supporting 50 +families per month.
  • Participate in and/or receive mental health counseling and executive coaching (provided by J2C)
  • If not already licensed, receive training to become a Department of Justice accredited representative.

OTHER DUTIES REQUIRED OF ALL STAFF:

  • Attend and promote events
  • Community events and meetings will occur some nights and weekends.
Skills/Experience: 

Required:

  • Experience working with DACA-recipients and immigrant families.
  • Experience submitting DACA applications.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish and a compelling speaker and writer.
  • Must be available to work both in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays (and option for remote work all other times) in Denver, CO 20 hours weekly.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and flexibility in response to our families and community partners.
  • Tech requirements: Phone, computer, internet, Zoom and WhatsApp 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Google Workspace (formally Google Suite) other software tools
  • Ability to maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries and handle confidential issues with discretion. Including maintaining the security of our client information and access to our office’s location.
  • Willingness to support the Mission of Juntos2College and the mission to support DACA recipients and their families.

Preferred:

  • Teaching/education background; law/paralegal background.
  • Grant Writing experience and skills
  • Experience managing pro-bono attorneys, volunteers, or interns.
Compensation/Benefits: 

POSITION TYPE/WORK SCHEDULE:  This is a part-time position, requiring occasional evening and weekend work and the ability to be flexible and responsive to emergent needs of Juntos2College. The position will pay $42,000 part-time salary (salary is non-negotiable), work is between 20-24 hour per week.

Benefits – Reimbursement of work permits (DACA, etc). Pro-rated sick leave.

Our service, DACA Works, helps DACA-recipients learn how to accurately renew and submit their work permit. Our legal team specializes in DACA application support, providing live or virtual hands-on assistance to ensure error-free and successful renewals. We remove the fear and uncertainty many people feel in the renewal process, and offer flexible schedules and fees to make it easier to avoid job loss. 

Professional Development

Our upward mobility team trains counselors, educators, and parents on how to support undocumented students through post-secondary pathways. Training includes understanding DACA, ITIN and Taxes, Entrepreneurship, work-force entry, and college/financial aid.
