Direct, develop, administer and operate Teen Leaders Club, youth sports, family programming and special events. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Youth Center

  • Recruit, train and supervise staff.
  • Plan monthly activities to foster relationships and grow teen programming.
  • Establish relationships to foster belonging with area youths.
  • Incorporate youth center staff into monthly activities.

Teen Leaders Club

  • Recruit and train youth in volunteer leadership for total association.
  • Hold weekly meetings with participants.
  • Maintain Teen Leaders Club Social Media pages.
  • Attend weekend retreats, service weekends and week-long Leaders Training School.
  • Provide leadership for hosting Black Swamp Service Weekend and organizing volunteers for Special Olympics State Games.
  • Attend area schools for recruitment purposes of Leaders program and volunteers.

Youth Sports : Fall Flag Football, Competitive Basketball and Indoor Soccer

  • Develop league schedules, rules and team rosters.
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteer coaches and officials.
  • Implement YMCA Character Development into programs.
  • Establish collaborations with local agencies to continue growth of programs.
  • Work with FCA on collaboration to implement Christian principles into our sports programs.

Special Tasks

  • Work as a lead member of the staff team to assist with the development and implementation of special events.
  • Provide leadership and structure to the Chaplain program.
  • Take leadership role in building supervision responsibility.
  • Take leadership role in Homeschool PE program.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous expereince working with teens preferred.
  • Proven leadershipship skills in planning, organizing, program development and implementation.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to engage a diverse population.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the nature of the YMCA as a mission driven oganization.  
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $26,500.00 - $28,000.00
