Farm Assistant

The Farm Assistant will assist with general farm work and animal care.  Animals include cows, pigs, sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, horses and donkeys.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Feed a variety of animals with specific dietary requirements.
  • Clean animal stalls and enclosures and add clean bedding.
  • Change animal water daily, cleaning water containers thoroughly.
  • Clean and sweep barns and animal housing daily.
  • Inspect animals closely for injury or other potential health related issues.
  • Direct visitor inquiries when necessary.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2+ years’ experience working with large and small farm animals.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
