The goal of this position is to support the Director of Education and Volunteer Programs through the coordination of health fairs, support groups, and family, community, and professional education programs, including supporting the volunteers who assist with these activities.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist Director of Education and Volunteer Programs with logistics and promotion of annual conference
- Coordinate speaker's bureau, health fair, and support group volunteers, including maintaining information in volunteer database
- Assist in coordinating all aspects of educational programs and events
- Manage education programs and support groups in Personify database
- Assist with presenting educational programs and staffing health fairs as needed
- Problem Solving/Decision Making – must be able to:
- Prioritize own work
- Refer concerns related to constituents to supervisor in a timely manner
- Check the quality and timeliness of own work
- Autonomously work in the field, some evenings and weekends
Educational Background:
BA or BS degree preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Â Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
- Â Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations in the community
- Ability to plan and work independently
- Superior organizational skills Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations -- Current driver's license and insurance; dependable transportation; Frequent travel within the nine-county service area (Montgomery, Greene, Clark, Champaign, Logan, Preble, Miami, Shelby, and Darke); Occasional overnight travel.
- Â Computer Skills--To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a proficient understanding of Microsoft office products.
