Since 1858, the Scott County Family Y, has been an integral part of the Quad Cities area. With over 40,000 members, 6 branches, numerous child care locations and Camp Abe Lincoln, we continue to grow and strengthen the community to bring about positive change. The Quad Cities area, on the Mississippi River, is home to a more than 27,000 businesses including John Deere World Headquarters, Alcoa, Kraft, Exelon and a major military installation - the Rock Island Arsenal. The Branch Executive will oversee the total operation of the branch, including membership, marketing, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies. This position will also oversee the association corporate membership program, Y@Work. Emphasis is on the member/participant and the satisfaction of their overall experience from initial engagement and enrollment to continual connection with the appropriate staff, programs and services.
- Serve as role model to members and Y staff and, at all times lives the mission, vision and values of the YMCA movement.
- Responsible for all aspects of the branches operations.
- Responsible for growth of Y@Work program through connection with local businesses to gain enrollment in program.
- Develop, model and integrate procedures and practices that encourage and sustain relationships with and among members/participants.
- Recruit, develop, direct and engage the combined branch volunteer advisory Board.
- Direct the financial development activities of the branch. Coordinate fundraising with advisory board, staff, members and volunteers. Coordinate campaign efforts with a volunteer campaign director.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the branch operating budgets and meet or exceed budget targets.
- Direct strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branches.
- Evaluate data on the effectiveness of member engagement/participation and ensure it is occurring on an on-going basis.
- Participate in association program Quality Teams.
- Work in conjunction with staff teams to continually improve member/participant engagement and experience. Equip staff with the on-going knowledge, skills and abilities to engage, support and involve members/participants.
- Continually monitor and assist in the process of program/service improvements and innovations that respond to the ever-evolving needs and interests of members, participants and health seekers.
- Attend community functions and events to promote the YMCA, including mission, programs and services.
- Ensure and provide effective communication of applicable information to members and staff. Oversee and ensure current information presented to the membership community within the facility. This includes but is not limited to, bulletin boards, newsletters, flyers, posters, banners, and calendars.
- Monitor and update the website in conjunction with the corporate office.
- Hire, train and supervise Child Watch, Member Services and Custodial staff.
- Assure facility and surrounding outdoor areas are clean, attractive and inviting in coordination with the Maintenance Director and President/COO.
- Maintain certifications listed under Certificates and Other Requirements.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures of Scott County Family Y.
- Understand and follow all safety rules and regulations including knowledge of emergency procedures and location of emergency equipment.
- Regular and timely adherence to respective schedule/meetings.
- All other duties as assigned by the COO.
- Three or more years of management experience, preferably with a YMCA or non-profit
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.

- YMCA Leadership Certification preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification*
- Mandatory Reporter*
- Must be able to pass background check
Salary: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00
