The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of19 branches and2 destination camps - all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. We are now hiring a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure we maintain quality facilities that will exceed the expectations of our members.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Demonstrated background, knowledge and expertise as it relates to painting, drywall repair, minor electric and plumbing.
  • Must be able to safety use a scissors lift up to 26 feet high.
  • Proficient in electrical testing equipment with emphasis on a digital voltmeter (DVM).
  • Professional communication skills are required as this position will interface with staff, members, and some contractors.
  • Provide timely responses to maintenance work order system and resolve issues within a reasonable time.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have valid Texas Drivers License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Skills/Experience: 
  • This position is responsible for general maintenance repairs with emphasis on lighting replacement, carpentry, minor electrical, painting, dry wall repair, and plumbing at the 19branch locations in the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.
  • We are looking for a self starter that is dependable and customer service focused. Vehicle is provided with this position.
