  • Support and resource for Chapter in coordination and input of the Annual Budget
  • Assist  in preparation of required schedules and documentation for annual audit
  • Assist in annual 990 preparation
  • Facilitate creation of revenue source codes
  • Create invoices and coordinate documentation needed for grant reimbursement
  • Code and prepare revenue for submission to outside gift processor
  • Review and code requests for payment
  • Enter Accounts Payable invoices
  • Record bank transactions in general  ledger
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Follow-up on pledges
  • Maintain schedule of restricted gifts and releases
  • Produce monthly financial statements
  • Submit and follow-up on Donor Services inquiries
  • Assist in special projects as requested
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
Skills/Experience: 
  • Accounting experience with a non-profit organization preferred
  • Demonstration of written and oral communication skills
  • High proficiency in using computer technology - especially Accounting software and Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience with Sage 500 or other automated accounting reporting systems (BI 360 et al) strongly preferred
  • Proven work history of effective bookkeeping , accounting and budget  experience
  • Ability to problem solve effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks
  • Ability to work effectively with a team or independently
