The Education Administrator will deliver all aspects of booking and scheduling field trip, program and other education offerings. Programs include onsite field trips, outreach, teacher trainings, River Adventures, Scout Programs, Overnights, Night Hikes, Birthday Parties and adult programming. S/He will be responsible for communicating all information to customers, and processing all forms working with the Operations Manager to ensure proper payment and invoicing.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Schedule, book and sell all academic and public program offerings to customers managing both phone and email sales channels.
  • Communicate with customers post booking with program confirmation materials.
  • Communicate with customers post program with evaluation communications.
  • Work with program managers and volunteer coordinator to develop staff/volunteer schedule and calendar to ensure proper staffing for all booked programs.
  • With Center Director work to deliver 2018-19 academic programs brochure, includes content editing and mailing list creation.
  • With Center Director and program managers, assist with program ticketing through various online channels including social media communications.
  • Work with Center Director and operations manager on special event coordination and logistics.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1+ years working in a nature center, zoo, museum or other cultural organization.
  • Must be self-motivated, innovative, and proactive: a strong self-starter.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and demonstrate careful and efficient use of work time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, but also thrive in a team environment.
  • Flexibility with schedule including weekends, weekdays, holidays, and evenings required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, website updating, ticketing platforms and social media.
  • Ability to work outdoors, in all weather conditions and on varying terrain and perform physical duties such as lifting, reaching, pulling/pushing, outfitting outdoor adventures, hiking, camping, etc. with or without accommodation.
