The Constituent Event Coordinator will play a key role in delivering fundraising outcomes for the Alzheimers Association and the constituent event strategies of the Chapter. Working with the Walk to End Alzheimers (WTEA) Manager, the individual, will collaborate with both staff and volunteers to deliver year round coordination, implementation, and revenue achievement.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently in meeting goals and should be comfortable presenting in a group atmosphere. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to set meetings with external partners and build mutually beneficial relationships.
The Walk to End Alzheimers (75%)
- Completes activities effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines for successful event execution
- Implements best practices for fundraising development, increased participation and event revenue growth; drives creativity and innovation at the community/chapter level.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure cross promotion and support of organizational goals and/or messages
- Utilizes available resources to maximize event results
- Solicit and cultivate past and new teams, participants, and sponsors.
- Provide consistent and prompt customer service
- Execute and create content for eCommunications campaign (knowledge of Convio Luminate is a plus)
- Ensure sponsor benefits are implemented.
- Manage vendor relationships
- Responsible for logistical coordination and outcomes for the WTEA event, including but not limited to site layout, T-shirt pick up, signage printing, and event route planning.
- Oversee volunteer resources and manage day-of volunteers
- Oversee inventory of supplies and event purchase requirements, budget and expenses
- Attending community events (i.e. Health fairs, Networking events etc.)
- Serve as the primary contact for the Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer's (WTEA)
- Work with the volunteer WTEA committee to achieve revenue and recruitment goals
- Run WTEA reports required for team cultivation and provide weekly updates to WTEA Manager and ensure outcomes are met
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Constituent Events other (20%)
- Assist the department's other Constituent Events (The Longest Day) in a support capacity during its implementation/execution season
Third Party Events (5%)
- Tracks, monitors and provides appropriate support as needed
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and implement training activities for volunteer leaders
- Participate and provide direction to the volunteer Walk Planning Committee
- Interact daily with volunteers
- Manage a high volume of event participants
- Participate in the recruitment of volunteers
- Must be able to lift 25 to 40 lbs

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This role will require occasional evening and weekend work
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 year of relevant experience building relationships, fundraising, and project coordination
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, Team Approach, Convio/Luminate
- Excellent navigation and functionality use of computers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and proofreading skills
- Experience in customer service, oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers
- Highly organized
- Must be able to work independently
- Possess valid drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
