The Marketing and Promotions Manager supports the mission of the Alzheimer's Association Greater Dallas Chapter to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. This position will execute marketing and promotions initiatives for the Greater Dallas Chapter and the Greater Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer's (WTEA) event.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support the implementation of marketing tactics for the Dallas Chapter including the Walk to End Alzheimer's, The Longest Day and other events and promotions with the goal of increasing revenue and participation for the Greater Dallas Walk.
- Serve as the lead staff for all marketing and promotional partnerships (for example with the DART, and broadcast affiliates).
- Design collateral materials included but not limited to solicitation materials and post-WTEA report with the direction of the Executive Director.
- Monitor social media statistics.
- Order and inventory of collateral materials, t-shirts, signage, etc. for the Greater Dallas WTEA.
- Manage all social media accounts; in collaboration with the Manager, Greater Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer's to manage the social media messaging.
- Create digital images for website development, social media, print advertising campaigns and any other projects that arise.
- Advise and suggest marketing, promotions and logistics tactics for Collin and Denton County Walks.
- Work with the Executive Director and the Manager, Greater Dallas WTEA to create and oversee the Greater Dallas WTEA budget and expenses.
- Develop and cultivate relationships to increase WTEA participation.
Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with two or more years of experience in communications and marketing (non-profit experience preferred).
- Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively to accomplish projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite
- High level of proficiency with social media programs, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Search Console.
