As a national movement, the Y has ambitious goals in our three areas of focus: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Coppell Family YMCA is excited about hiring a full time exempt Teen and Family Director to further this cause.
This position is responsible for managing all of aspects of the Adventure Guide Program implementation and delivery of all teen programs, which currently involves Youth and Government and C.A.R.E. (soon to be renamed).
This person will also be responsible for creating Family Events & new Arts & Humanities programs for youth. The Teen and Family Program Director is responsible for program growth/development, staff supervision and fiscal management of the areas he/she oversees. Will work with the Executive Director to insure quality and consistent programming for the Coppell Family YMCA branch. Will recruit and maintain Youth and Government programs, teen special events, and teen programming. And all other duties as assigned which will include but are not limited to the following.
- Develop and monitor the annual budget which will include constant monitory and re-forecasting.
- Assist with marketing the programs in order to increase awareness and participation.
- Maintain relationships with the community and its representatives, interpreting the YMCA and its work.
- Grow and create energy regarding Youth & Government and other teen programs.
- Create new programs and outreach to teens and youth; especially through the arts.
- Organize and attend Adventure Guides Campouts and monthly events
- Attend YMCA special events
- Communicate regularly and clearly with all volunteers
- Serve as liaison for Annual Campaign and work with division to assure recruitment, training, and follow up is done professionally and timely.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, confident, organized, and an excellent communicator both verbal and written.
- Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and coordinate several projects and or/staff teams at one time.
- Must be able to relate well to members, outside vendors and groups, and the community at large.
- Must be able to develop and monitor budget.
- Must have the ability to hire, coach, discipline, organize, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Serve as a Staff Liaison to one Division of the Annual Campaign.
- Must be able to develop positive relationships with YMCA members, volunteers, program participants, school district, city and the community.
- Must have a flexible schedule. Job requires working some evenings and several weekends.
- Must be a team player with a commitment to excellence.

Salary Range: $34,000 - $37,000
