In cooperation with the Vice President of Financial Development, the Regional Development Director will understand and promote the mission of the YMCA. Fostering a climate of high staff and community engagement, the Regional Development Director will locally manage the annual and capital campaigns associated with assigned branches to generate the needed resources for PFVY and will help promote philanthropy as part of our culture throughout the organization.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for overall campaign management and organization including pipelines, prospect tracking, strategy, task assignment and maintenance of timelines. Share philanthropic goals with each branch’s Executive Director and management team.
- Research and identify prospects; schedule meeting, prepare talking points, assemble presentations, and full meeting preparation for, board and annual campaign members, campaign volunteers and PFVY staff.
- Working closely with branch Executive Directors, oversee acknowledgment of all campaign gifts and pledges and preparation of pledge payment reminders and pledge agreements.
- Write all campaign correspondence including solicitation proposals, meeting requests, and meeting follow up.
- Maintain master campaign calendar to maximize cultivation events and keep campaign committee on track.
- Organize and monitor volunteer assignments and follow-up, and assist in all aspects of volunteer-led events.
- Create a “moves management” process for all two YMCAs while creating portfolios for Executive Director as well as other members of each Ys staff. This process will be integrated with a new Salesforce CRM system.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings and retreats and participate in association fund raising activities and events as required.
- Participate as a member of the staff team in accomplishing the mission of the YMCA.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and at least 2 years experience working with children.
Skills/Experience:
- Acquire SACC credential or master’s degree equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 hours of child development training per year as defined by DPW.
- Complete Keystone STARS training hours in accordance with your branch’s STAR level.
- Clear Physical (every year) Clear TB screening (every other year).

Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $45,300.00 - $59,100.00
