Areas of Responsibility: 

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING TASKS

  • Verifying enrollment of members either through a company portal or by submitting info to the provider
  • Serve as a centralized leader, coordinating enrollments and terminations with individual branches monthly
  • Maintain data per the requirements of each provider, inclusive of understanding data terminology and flow
  • Invoicing and reconciling payments monthly; follow up with providers on unpaid portion of invoices
  • Recording journal entries monthly to record transactions
  • Set up invoicing procedures with new providers; maintain database in SmartSheet of providers including portal access, contact information and pertinent information
  • Train, mentor and provide updates to Insurance Coordinators throughout the Association
  • Drive contract compliance and ensure key dates are monitored for renewals and price changes
  • Support new partner evaluations and offer business insights to optimize contract set-up and relationship

TEAM ENGAGEMENT

  • Serve in a customer (internal Y-Staff and external Y-Customer) centric manner
  • Interact with a high level of professionalism and accountability
  • Provide cross-training within our team and to our locations as needed
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
  • Other duties as assigned by CFO and Controller
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree with aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Skills/Experience: 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLookups and Pivot Tables
  • Ability to develop and use spreadsheets and standard business software systems
  • Ability to navigate in computerized accounting systems
  • Understanding of the role and purpose of YMCA programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to inform both orally and in writing
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
