Provide key leadership to the Phoenixville YMCA Swim Team.  Project a positive image of the Swim Team throughout the community. Demonstrate excellence in program administration, parent and community partnerships.  Effectively develop and utilize resources to achieve program goals.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Management of the day-to-day operations of the PAY Swim Team ensuring that the program complies with YMCA policies and procedures and recommended YMCA Competitive Swimming Guidelines for program quality and safety standards.
  • Set overall direction and curriculum for practices and meets, providing direct service to ensure program quality and safety standards.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate a strong team of staff and volunteers.
  • Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program growth.  Measures progress against goals, and ensures continuous improvement.
  • Communicated regularly and professionally with swimmers, parents, volunteers, and coaches.
  • Work with Aquatics Leadership team to ensure we are meeting the overall aquatics needs of the community.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years’ experience as Head Coach of a Y or USA swimming team.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience in team management software (Meet Manager, Hy-Tek Team Manager, Team Unify)
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $30,000.00 - $38,000.00
