Support teen programs so the Y is continually known as a leader in programs that improve our community’s health & well–being with diversity.

The Y is looking for an energetic, outgoing relationship builder to fill the position of Associate Teen Director. This position is responsible for developing programs that will impact positive self-identity; social and emotional skills; and health and life skills for teens. As one of the faces of our Y the ideal candidate will be known by members and program participants as positive, friendly and helpful.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Foster relationships and build connections with members and program participants.
  • Assist in the supervision and scheduling of the program staff.
  • Help with program development and marketing.
  • Assist the leadership team in YMCA fundraising activities, special events, and other duties where applicable.
  • Support teens in personal growth, character development, goal setting, and skill development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and community organizations.
  • Demonstrate effective listening and compassion toward people in all interactions with the purpose of delivering the mission of the YMCA.
Educational Background: 
Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma/equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
  • Two to three years of related youth and teen program experience.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Compensation/Benefits:
