The Y is looking for an energetic, outgoing relationship builder to fill the position of Associate Teen Director. This position is responsible for developing programs that will impact positive self-identity; social and emotional skills; and health and life skills for teens. As one of the faces of our Y the ideal candidate will be known by members and program participants as positive, friendly and helpful.
- Foster relationships and build connections with members and program participants.
- Assist in the supervision and scheduling of the program staff.
- Help with program development and marketing.
- Assist the leadership team in YMCA fundraising activities, special events, and other duties where applicable.
- Support teens in personal growth, character development, goal setting, and skill development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and community organizations.
- Demonstrate effective listening and compassion toward people in all interactions with the purpose of delivering the mission of the YMCA.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
- Two to three years of related youth and teen program experience.
- Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
