The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region is hiring an experienced and ambitious Sports Director who will be responsible for the development, supervision, and direct administration of youth and adult sports. This position is a full-time exempt level position.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training all staff and volunteers relating to assigned programs.
- Develop and oversee youth and adult sports programs, tournaments, special interest classes, court facilities, and facility rentals.
- Develop and run department budget.
- Develop and implement new programs that meet the needs of the community and the goals and objectives of youth and adult sports programs as set forth by the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region.
- Develop and implement an adequate marketing strategy to assure the success of youth and adult sports programs.
- Administer all aspects of adult physical education programs including instruction, leagues, and tournaments.
- Administer all aspects of the youth and adult sport programs, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.
- Responsible for securing sponsorships for youth and adult sports programs.
- Establish, improve, and maintain collaborative relationships by meeting individually with school principals and other key community members who assist in developing and continuing programs.
- Minimum 21 years of age
- You will bring previous hiring, supervision & development of staff experience.
- You will have experience with program design, development, implementation and retention.
- Have working knowledge of sports and coaching fundamentals.
- Have the ability to manage and balance a department budget (preferred).
- Experience in Program and Volunteer Development (preferred).
- YMCA Team Leader Certification (preferred).
- All YMCA staff positions require certifications in CPR/AED-Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Oxygen Administration. Preferred candidates will have current certifications however training is available

- Salary depends on experience, education and certification.
Salary: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00
