The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region is seeking a Director of Youth Programming. The Director of Youth Programs will provide association-wide supervision and leadership for the Learn & Play, Enrichment and Preschool Programs by creating, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for all centers and program areas. This position will ensure all programs are of high quality and all expectations are being met. This position will work within the Youth and Family Development Department, collaborating to identify gaps, determines new programming opportunities and ensures consistency in safety, staff training and quality across all youth program areas.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated staff according to association policies.
- Create, implement, and ensure high quality programs in all areas.
- Provide direct leadership to association Learn & Play, Enrichment and Preschool programs and staff.
- Perform periodic audits of programs to ensure that all expectations are being met.
- Support the Youth Director – L&P in facilitating monthly L&P coordinator meetings.
- Consistently evaluate all trainings, policies, procedures, systems and services for efficiency and safety.
- Ensures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
- Develop and monitor program budgets to meet fiscal objectives.
- Create, evaluate, implement and enforce all policies and procedures.
- Attend all required trainings and staff meetings.
- Participate as a staff team leader in the YMCA annual support campaign.
- Respond to all questions and concerns brought forth by staff and members.
- Communicate with parents in all program areas.
- Record monthly and annual reports on programs
- Interact with participants and parents to build relationships.
- Insure the proper use and cleanliness of all equipment/facilities.
- Report any problems or concern to supervisor.
- Ensure quality programming with an end result of program and membership retention and growth.
- Be an active participant in the Manager on Duty Schedule when needed.
- Assist in implementation of branch-wide events.
- Participate in creating and implementing trimester and annual branch goals to affect increased retention.
- Minimum age of 21
- Experience with children ranging in age from infancy to teens
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Program development and leadership skills
- Strong public relations and communication skills
Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00
