Under the direction of the Senior Director of Wellness, the Director of Healthy Living provides operational leadership to branch community integrated health initiatives, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the wellness center, personal training, and group exercise programming.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Director of Healthy Living leads initiatives to increase the YMCA's position in the community as a leading partner in addressing chronic health challenges. 
  • This position serves on the branch leadership team and is also responsible for managing healthy living related financials, supervision of staff, volunteer development and for being a YMCA advocate in the community. 
  • A strong focus is placed on delivering a superior member experience, enhancing member connection and engagement, thereby leading to increasing member satisfaction and retention.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in a health and wellness related field or equivalent preferred. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in health and wellness management and staff supervision. 
  • Experience with Diabetes Prevention, LIVESTRONG at the Y or other chronic health programs a plus. 
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and evenings.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $42,000.00
