The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is currently seeking a Recruiter to join our team!

This recruiter will assist in the development and implementation of all areas of the recruitment process for internal and external, Part-time and Full-Time candidates in all of our Association locations to support the YMCA of Greater Cleveland's mission. As a Y Recruiter, you'll contribute to the Y and to the broader community we serve.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Recruitment

  • Assist in the development and implementation of full-cycle strategy to attract, recruit, hire and retain internal and external candidates.
  • Create postings, vetting resumes, conduct phone screening with possible candidate's applicants, and make recommendations to the hiring manager.
  • Train and advise leadership on all aspects of the recruitment process, including but not limited to hiring, equity, job development, orientation and consistent compensation procedures and processes.
  • Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding, ensuring measurement of recruitment methods.
  • Partners with YMCA leaders on strategies and delivery of qualified, interested and available candidates.
  • Proactively locating and recruiting the best and brightest candidates for our organization by using various recruiting tools and sources.
  • Assist in the job descriptions process, including but not limited to ensuring all are up to date, accurate and compliant with relevant federal, state and local laws for all positions.
  • Act as a liaison between candidates and interviewing teams. and facilitates and manages the candidate interview and selection process to ensure fair and defensible selection decisions
  • For Full-Time positions only: coordinate and facilitate panel interviews, present employment offers; manage and close candidate negotiations; as well as create and manage a post-acceptance follow-up policy.
  • Target and develop relationships with appropriate schools and programs.
  • Coordinates college relations and campus recruiting programs and activities.
  • Administers background and reference checking practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Develop and implement new approaches, procedure changes and innovative solutions to continually improve efficiency and employee experience. Identify, document and communicate process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in any special projects that arise (research, create reports, etc.) and other human resources work as required.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Partner with HR leadership in assessing, planning and implementing enhancements to processes and procedures
  • Responsible for following the child abuse and neglect reporting process including completion of Suspected Child Abuse/Neglect reporting form, calling children protective services (696-Kids) and notifying your immediate Supervisor, Branch Executive, Risk Management and Human Resources Department (s). All employees of the YMCA of Greater Cleveland are mandated reporters for any signs or suspicion of child abuse and neglect.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Three years' experience in recruitment to include knowledge of general principles of recruiting, experience managing applicant data bases, experience of applicant tracking systems and experience in candidate sourcing solutions including internet and social media platforms.

Required Certifications

  • LinkedIn Recruiter, or Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) or Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR), or other AIRS certification preferred.
  • Professional Human Resource (PHR) or other recognized HR certification preferred
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00
