YMCA of Greater Cleveland is looking for two (2) staff members to join our Member Account Services and Billing Department!

Responsible for coordinating all records, service systems, and events as they pertain to the recruitment and retention of members in the YMCA.

Receipts and Deposits

  • Preparation of daily cash reports and deposits processed thru Daxko and Raiser's Edge. This includes counting cash and balancing to receipt reports, researching and correcting differences, and contacting Centers when necessary.
  • Receipting payments that come directly to Operations Center, including corporate and childcare.
  • Processing Prime and Military Memberships and reporting of information as necessary for invoicing purposes.
  • Corporate invoices prepared and sent to corporate partners.
  • Setup/maintenance of discount groups in Daxko for corporate partners.
  • Setup of programs, this includes validating information in regards to program name, description, GL department and code.

Receivables and Collections

  • Manage all Return Bank Drafts, Credit Card Drafts and checks by using Returns Manager.
  • Post payments collected by ACH in a timely manner.
  • Researching problems and answer questions for centers and members in regard to member accounts as well as Membership and Child Care Returns.
  • Monitor all balance dues on accounts (childcare, other programs, and membership).
  • Generate, print, mail notices for expired credit cards.
  • Process credit card disputes.
  • Verify that refund requests are correctly processed in Daxko prior to actual refund check being issued by AP.

Support, Audit, & Training

  • Serve as primary support for staff and escalated members issues answering phone calls and emails.
  • Review the monthly DPC report to ensure the accuracy of monthly drafts.
  • Organize, prepare and facilitate regularly scheduled Daxko trainings for new users and refresher courses for all centers.
  • Run Monthly/weekly/daily audit reports; including but not limited to duplicate person, age audits, etc.
  • Review of New Memberships units to verify in correct category and include all necessary information.
  • Monitor system credits.
  • Support Revenue Group with setup of programs, this includes validating information in regards to program name, description, GL department and code.
  • Prepare and mail membership invoices.
  • Oversee process of scanning of all documents.
  • Complete audits for all current memberships this includes but not limited to changes, credits and refunds.
  • Manage Third Party Billing as required for county and CBO accounts
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • At least 2 years of college or equivalent work experience in a business related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related hands-on experience working in a business environment (i.e. accounting or bookkeeping) is required.
  • 2 years of customer service experience required (In-person and phone experience a plus).
  • Previous experience with Daxko a plus.
  • Some cash handling.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience in computer software; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and internet; or other related packages.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality related to financial operations.
  • Ability to work independently and complete multiple tasks or projects in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Customer-oriented and friendly.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Be visibly involved w/ members, volunteers and staff in a positive, friendly manner that communicates and demonstrates the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
  • Follows all established policies and procedures, including but not limited to, safety practices and personnel policies.
  • Linear thought process.
  • Participate in and support association events and fund raising activities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to move and lift 25 lbs.
  • A frequent amount of standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and bending
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Pay Range: $30,000- $35,000
