The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a Branch Executive Director who will be responsible for the day to day operation of a high quality, member centered YMCA and serve as principal liaison and relationship builder with the local community; This role will also be accountable for financial development and member satisfaction.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensures that daily care of members is a key priority through supervision of Branch staff.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to ensure consistent excellence in service through daily care of members, program participants and volunteers.
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of department programs through direct routine supervision of Branch staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with diverse community leaders as a basis for financial development and identification/implementation of responsive programs for communities served. Work with social, civic and local organizations to develop partnerships, where appropriate, to cultivate and/or utilize volunteers.
  • Serve as executive and principal staff person to the Branch Advisory Board(s) and Executive Committee(s). 
  • Organizes and manage the recruitment of board volunteers which reflect the demographics of the community.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Advisory Board activities: Development (Recruitment, Orientation and Training); Strategic Planning; and Engagement (meetings of the full Board and Executive Committee) to enhance the operation of the branch and the Association.
  • Direct the financial development campaigns for Strong Kids, Capital, Endowment, and other programs.
  • Role Model strong fiscal stewardship through the development and monitoring of the approved annual budget with recommended adjustments.
  • Lead a high-performing team of staff and volunteers focused on relationship building, member involvement and satisfaction.
  • Responsible for other duties and projects as necessary to achieve goals and priorities of the Association.
  • Responsible for strict adherence to all policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations.
Educational Background: 
Must possess a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education/experience,
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful experience that includes extensive management and supervisory experience.
  • Should have a positive history of leadership in the areas of volunteer and staff development, budget and fiscal management, financial development, strategic planning and community development.  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven ability to have initiative, good judgment and ability to make decisions independently.
  • Strong public relations skills with excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Competent computer skills;  Windows, membership, and volunteer database management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high volume of work.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00
