YMCA of Greater Cleveland has an immediate need for an Associate Executive Director who has the responsibility and the accountability to manage branch operations and give leadership to carry out the policies and programs of the YMCA of Greater Cleveland.  The executive is accountable for the successful achievement of the branch goals. 

This responsibility includes overall accountability for assigned areas which may include:  board development, fiscal management, fund-raising, program development, staff development, property management, and the carrying out of our association's strategic plan at the designated branch.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Review and appraises the effectiveness of directly supervised personnel and make appropriate training recommendations or staff changes where necessary.
  • Facilitates the development of the annual business plan for assigned branch or program center and assures that the branch staff has appropriate input and ownership in this process.
  • Utilization and development of the Branch community board to insure that branch goals are met.
  • With the assistance of Fund Development, manage and give direction to the Branch Community Board and other internal and external resources to successfully run the annual support campaign.
  • Continually reviews and evaluates key performances measures regarding staff, membership, programs, customer service, fiscal operations, and the physical plant to insure for continuous improvements in each area. Involves the appropriate people, develops and executes corrective action plans.
  • With assistance of supervisor and other resources, develops and administers a maintenance plan for facility. Implement the plan, monitor program, and take corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Supervise employees in assigned accountabilities, monitor site operation and scheduling and verify time sheets and actual hours worked.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years successful experience as a supervisor and fiscal manager.
  • .Ability to administer the program, fiscal, and personnel policies of the association, a person in this position must possess the insights and skills of modern management (ex. Continuous Improvement) to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization through the efforts of other people.
  • Ability to empower staff and to delegate appropriate responsibilities involved in day-to -day operations is essential. 
  • The incumbent must demonstrate a clear understanding of the branch and associations relationships with the community.  Ability to think strategically is essential.
  • The human relationship aspect of this position is very important. The personality, attitude, and conduct of the Associate Executive set the climate of relationships, and the incumbent's skills in relating to individuals and groups determine the eventual effectiveness of the organization.  The incumbent must have the ability to delegate appropriate responsibility involved in day-to-day operations.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00
