The YMCA of the Suncoast is searching for a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as Payroll Specialist for the Association Office.
This position is responsible for the entire payroll function for the YMCA of the Suncoast. The primary responsibilities are to make sure all payroll functions are processed in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. Experience working in ADP Payforce and Timesaver products is preferred, but not required. Some background in data entry and data management desired.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Process all bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Ensure proper enrollments and deduction amounts for insurance, dental, retirement, Annual Giving, etc.
- Set up and process garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Serve as the gatekeeper for supervisory access to staff timecards.
- Assist and resolve all timecard issues with supervisory staff.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.
- Reconcile all insurance and payroll related invoices for payment.
- Maintain accurate PTO balances for all employees.
- Maintain direct deposit and paycard records for employees. Ensure all checks are delivered to branches via courier.
- Process manual checks and employee reimbursements.
- Process and distribute all payroll related reporting to executive and supervisory staff.
- Respond to all verification of employment requests.
- Serve support to the Human Resources Team by learning other functions to serve as back-up when necessary.
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills/Experience:
- Work Experience: Minimum of two years administrative office setting required. Experience working in ADP Payforce and Timesaver products is preferred, but not required. Some background in Human Resources desired. Knowledge of federal and state regulations preferred.
- Physical: May be required to sit for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on computer and other equipment. Receives and follows general instructions. Must be capable of working under pressure in a somewhat disruptive environment as well as organizing and planning efficiently.
- Mental: Must be mentally alert and be able to process and follow directions. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle the high degree of confidential information with discretion.
- Skills: Must possess the skills to operate standard office and computer equipment. Must possess strong data entry skills and experience in the use of work processing, spreadsheets, database management, and applicable personal computer applications. Works with minimal supervision. Effective office and administrative skills required.
Compensation/Benefits:
