This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Senior Program Director - Membership & Community Engagement will be responsible for assisting & developing strategic partnerships that will guide & support the YMCA cause in surrounding communities. Will also lead & develop the membership department, focusing on retention, member engagement & Active Older Adult programming.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Key point of contact relating to membership engagement & community development.
- Works to enhance the branch vision by working with branch team to align initiatives with strategic goals of the Association & Blue Ash community interests.
- Coordinates & expands branch efforts to maintain effective relationships with membership base, key volunteers & community groups.
- Identifies areas for membership improvement through increased program standardization & aligning of organization focus areas by consistently scanning internal & external environment for best practices.
- Provides strategic thinking & vision around community & branch programming for Active Older Adults.
- Ensures a level of service and engagement that fosters loyalty among those we serve.
- Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA.
- Participates in the planning of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances
- Leads membership staff and volunteers effectively; recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams; onboards and develops them for success.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team Leader certification preferred.
- Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
- Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
- Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00
