Clippard Family YMCA is looking for a Member Engagement Specialist to successfully carry out the mission & vision for serving the community.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Member Engagement Specialist will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Member Experience department at the Clippard Family YMCA by ensuring a welcoming environment for all.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead branch membership engagement efforts.
  • Meet or exceed the following: member sales goals, prospect follow-up activity, membership closing expectations, call-to-closing appointment conversion goals.
  • Lead branch tour process.
  • Will have direct supervision of Member Experience staff, which includes but is not limited to oversight of Fitness & Welcome Center employees.
  • Responsible for community outreach initiatives.
  • Assume all other responsibilities as deemed necessary or assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree preferred; sales & engagement experience required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • The incumbent must have the knowledge required for successful operations; ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteer leaders, YMCA members, and the general public is essential; ability to network and engage internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to delegate appropriate responsibilities to staff in order to accomplish the necessary duties.
  • Incumbent must be able to supervise, direct and guide all operations in accordance with the Association’s long- and short-range goals.
  • Must be personable and demonstrate integrity and honesty. Must be a team player, able to effectively relate to all levels of staff and management.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and written/oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with Daxko and Excel is preferred.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $32,800.00 - $36,900.00
