The Senior Director, Service Delivery will provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation and engagement of our Service Delivery Model. This position will focus on the design, development and leadership of an integrated service delivery system for the movement. Through appropriate communication, relationship building and influence this role will be responsible for supporting Y leaders as they make critical decisions regarding the direction, growth and success of our Y movement.

This position will coach and provide feedback to SDPY’s in the area of project management and consultative services, to ensure consistency and high-quality engagement of local Y collaborative efforts. This position will serve as a community moderator for LINK and engage movement moderators regarding tasks and expectations. It is also expected that the Senior Director will introduce new and innovative practices to our service delivery model.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and lead the service delivery model across the movement.
  • Develop intentional strategies to deepen the engagement and expertise of leaders within the movement.
  • Partner with Sr Director of Cohorts, Strategy & Innovation to ensure we implement a collaborative approach to the new delivery model.
  • Share content and process methods in the area of strategic planning to ensure our delivery partners are meeting the needs and expectations of the movement.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Director of Movement Services and Alliance Partners to identify state-wide service delivery opportunities and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sr Director of Cohorts, Strategy & Innovation to ensure alignment around growth opportunities, organizational capabilities and national priorities.
  • Collaborate with Y-USA departments to ensure consistent best practices are integrated across the movement.
  • Support SDPY’s to aid in their highest level of performance and demonstration of consistent sound strategy and cause-driven behaviors.
  • Support the process of identifying new and emerging work within specific product lines.
  • Execute communication plan, which keeps service delivery partners informed and strengthens the relationship between Y-USA and the movement.
  • Identify and develop tools and resources to enhance the consistency and efficiency in meeting service delivery needs.
  • Assist with the review, updating and creation of resources and tools for LINK.
  • Lead and facilitate assigned strategic initiative projects.
  • Support assigned specialty groups from within the movement and/or Y-USA.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in a large and complex organization is required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the areas of strategic planning and development; change management; staff and volunteer leadership; research and development; and advocacy and conflict resolution are required
  • Demonstrated experience with group facilitation, coaching leadership level staff, and establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with individuals across a broad range of groups is required
  • Demonstrated experience working within various size Y’s and an understanding of the complexities of these environments is required
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior management position of a large YMCA is preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time is required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills are required
  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills are required
  • Demonstrated excellent facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills are required
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are required
  • Ability to successfully multi-task, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is required
  • Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills are required
  • Commitment to the YMCA character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is required
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00
