The Senior Director, Product Line Cohorts, Strategy and Innovation provides oversight of the development and delivery of processes and services of assigned areas with the goal of streamlining delivery and enhancing quality of services offered. This role will be based in the Chicago office.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Create a comprehensive structure focused on product line quality, development and innovation
  • Convene diverse and cross functional cohorts across core product lines
  • Set criteria and expectations around the engagement of product line cohorts
  • Evaluate needs/gaps across the country and co-create strategy to fill those gaps
  • Provide leadership around strategy product line development and implementation
  • Analyze current product line priorities to align with nationwide trends
  • Ensure DIG priorities are weaved into core product line delivery
  • Use CDLI pilot data to weave learnings into core product line delivery
  • Weave achievement gap learnings into out of school model
  • Support, develop, update and evaluate resources for LINK system
  • Work with other YUSA departments on identifying gaps, which affect consistent and quality product line delivery
  • Create a culture amongst the department and product line cohorts, which encourages innovation and creativity
  • Stay adept of industry trends to ensure we are proactive in our evolution of product line delivery
  • Develop a team that is nimble and embraces change
  • Create a vision and strategy around serving special populations
  • Develop pathways within the various product lines
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and collaborative partners
  • Evaluate product lines to identify opportunities to mitigate risk and align safety initiatives around overall product line delivery.
  • Create a layered funding strategy around initiatives, product line delivery and innovation.
  • Utilize all service delivery mechanisms to ensure seamless support to the movement, which is focused on quality, growth, innovation, funding and risk
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 plus years of current or prior service with NAYDO Council
  • Demonstrated experience in program related grant management in excess of $10 million
  • 5 plus years’ experience in being engaged in the AYP/YPN transition team and future vision
  • Demonstrated familiarity with matrix management and prior experience/success leading within the model
  • Demonstrated Experience with leading cross functional product line teams around quality improvement, development and innovation
  • 7 plus years’ experience of being engaged with national initiatives around achievement gap, character development, summer learning, health disparities, program upgrades, etc.
  • Certified Praesidium guardian or on target to achieve in 2019
  • 7 plus years’ experience around safety and risk initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience serving on previous YUSA project teams
  • Demonstrated success with DIG work and has demonstrated success in weaving DIG into Y core product line work
  • Demonstrated Experience developing strategy around increasing equity for all
  • Demonstrated prior success in working with special populations
  • Ability to travel 20-25%
  • Commitment to Y-USA mission and strategy
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00
