This position is highly visible to internal and external clients and must maintain a high customer service standard at all times.

This individual is a member of the Financial Services team and will deliver administrative support to the department. Responsibilities include accounting support, mail distribution, hospitality and conference room set-up, reception assistance and general office duties as required.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provides professional and courteous office support to the Financial Services team, which includes the Accounting, Facilities, and Strategic Sourcing departments. This includes, but is not limited to: answers phones, sorts and distributes mail, routes calls and documents, coordinates travel, prepares payment requests and expense reports, manages files, and distributes mailings
  • Prepares daily bank deposit and related reporting, inclusive of remittance to bank and resolution of customer inquiries
  • Supports Front Desk and Conference Center in the absence of the Conference Center Coordinator, welcomes visitors, maintains security of the reception area, monitors and responds to conference center reservations requests, works with catering vendors, and sets rooms as requested
  • Engages Link (our knowledge-sharing and social-networking platform) Fiscal Management community and manages content updates
  • Tracks YMCA Certificates of Liability Insurance in internal database (MOYP)
  • Monitors Financial Services email inboxes
  • Assists in researching, writing, proofing, editing, compiling and posting documents
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in an accounting or finance department
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required; advanced skills a plus
  • Ability to push and lift 30 pounds for moving wheeled tables,chairs and supplies

Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $37,700.00 - $47,700.00
